NEXT MEETING

November 17th, Saturday, 2 PM, (Board Meeting at 1 PM) MTA Building, 480 Commercial Drive, Palmer. "Plants suitable for troughs". Past-President, Carmel Tysver, will present a program and explain which plants are suited for growing in troughs. (When driving north, Commercial Drive is the 3rd street on the right after the entrance to the Alaska State Fairgrounds). Carmel has several years experience making troughs, as well as presenting demonstrations on trough construction.


  Educational programs and/or special speakers are presented at the September
through March meetings. All meetings are open to the public. Regular meetings,
which alternate between Anchorage and the Matanuska Valley, are held on the
third Saturday of each month. Field Trips and Plant sales are held during the
summer months. Members also help to maintain the Rock Gardens at the
Alaska Botanical Garden in Anchorage.
